We changed the name
but it is still the same mission.
ILO – the tool for mobility since 1911
ILO defines engines and mobility as no other trademark does. ILO built engines for a variety of applications, such as motorbikes and small lorries. Throughout the 1950s and 60s, ILO was the largest German engine manufacturer.
Without ILO’s two-stroke engines, motorization and mobility would have been unthinkable in the post-war era. They were a key element for a multitude of purposes and ensured the mobility of a whole generation.
